What is vinyl fencing made of?
A: Vinyl fence is made from several raw materials:
· Resin (Synthetic): PVC resin is 42% hydrocarbons and 58% Chlorine. Made from crude oil and salt
· Stabilizers: protects the compound from damage during extrusion
· Lubricants: allows material to move easily through the barrels and screws
· Fillers: used to lower the raw material cost of the finished compound; contains ground limestone
· Ti02: used to provide whiteness, weather ability and brightness; many uses including sunscreen, tattoo pigment, toothpaste, and white lines on football fields
· Processing Aids and Impact modifiers: used to help with die flow and increase impact strength in finished product
· UV Enhanced Material: purchased material used for UV protection on darker colors
· Online pigments: color concentrate pellets metered in at the extruder; sand, wicker, blue slate, tan, beige are some examples
· Substrate, main extruder: the bulk of compound used; base or inner wall of extrusions
· Capstock, co-extruder: used as the outer layer with UV protection and allows coloring of compound
What kind of warranty do you offer for vinyl fence?
A: We offer a limited lifetime transferrable warranty. We warrant vinyl fencing against defects or workmanship for as long as you own your home. We will, at our option, replace the product in question with new product of the same or equivalent value at no charge. Our products are warranted against peeling, flaking, splintering, corrosion, rusting or abnormal discoloration under normal use and service per ASTMD2244.
This warranty extends to the original purchaser or transferee as specified herein on the products noted above. Separate and distinct warranties for hardware and other products are not covered under this warranty.
Will vinyl fencing fade or turn colors?
A: Our vinyl fences will not fade or color over time. Our advanced technologies protect your fence from the sun's harmful UV rays.
